Well I’m broken

On Friday I broke my arm. Well I broke my elbow.

Today, I had to get my first ever COVID test.

Did I mention we’re already shorthanded at work?

Thank God for speech to text. Otherwise this would not be happening at all.

I’m ready for just three months of me not getting sick or injured. But I don’t think that’s gonna happen anytime soon.

I want to sneeze so bad but it keeps running away!

I want to be able to breathe out of my nose.

I just want to be pain free for a day.

OK I think I’m done whining.

I’m a Failure (but I’m trying)

So, I had planned to blog daily in June. And May. And April. Yeah, I haven’t succeeded at that at all. Work has been crazy. For a while, we were down a cashier and a dishwasher. Now, We’re not down anyone!! My daughter was hired on as the cashier, and a sweetheart was hired for the dishwasher. Both of them are doing pretty good. They both finished off their first week today. I’m ready to see how that all works out!

Life has been pretty hectic too. Madison graduated from high school in May. She then proceeded to turn 18 this month (on the 20th, aka Father’s Day). Monday, she started her first ever job, as I mentioned above. First everything. First job. First interview. First drug test. First (and second) TB test.First orientation. First FULL-TIME job! This kid is rocking this adult life already!
Ethan turned 16 in March and did driver’s ed this summer. He just has to do the driving part with the DMV folks next month, and he’s good to go. So glad that’s one less thing that we have to worry about.

In March, I’d bought a new computer. That got zapped within 60 days, and the return policy for Sam’s is 90 days, so we took advantage of that. So, I have another new computer that still doesn’t have all the apps and programs installed. Oh well.

Right now I’m updating from a Kindle Fire and a Bluetooth keyboard. I guess I won’t be able to make any excuses when it comes to getting things done. I’m hoping, since Office is now available on them that I’ll be able to use it for NaNoWriMo this year, since my laptop isn’t lasting, battery-wise.

I Am Tired

April is going to be a busy month. I made myself a desktop calendar, and already, I can see the month flying by!

April 2021 calendar, featuring Binx all wide-eyed, Kira just being super cute, and another of Binx making biscuits.

I’m realizing, looking at it, that I should have marked up the calendar (I got it for being a Patron of JashiiCorrin, with modifications just using Photoshop CS and pics I took).

It’s going to be a doozy, though.

Okay:

  1. April Fool’s Day on the first
  2. Easter is on the 5th
  3. Josh’s birthday is the 18th.
  4. Josh gets his first tattoo on the 20th.
  5. He’s off that whole week, as well (18th through 25th, I believe)
  6. It’s the last full month of school. Big deal since I have a daughter graduating this year.
  7. I almost forgot: April 2nd, the kids get their first dose of the vaccine.
  8. Sometime in April, Josh is getting HIS second dose.
  9. April the 3rd, the pets are scheduled to get microchipped.

All right, that doesn’t seem like too much, but if you add in that I have to work during all of that, you’ll see my panic.

Okay, panic isn’t the right word, but WOW, I’m already feeling overwhelmed.

Bed Time

Work has kicked my butt, mentally and physically.

This Covid-19 stuff is really killing my spirit, my soul, my everything.

I’ll have a good day here and there, but the bad days will add up, and before I know it, my body is rebelling and I’m feeling sick, and tired, literally.

Ugh!

Mushrooms FTW

I didn’t make the best food choices, but I really don’t care.

I should but I don’t.

Working 9 hour shifts will do that to a person.
